Contact BOAG Law for Experienced and Accessible Intellectual Property Counsel

Prosecution, Protection and Licensing of Patents, Trademarks and Copyrights

At BLPLLC, we bring more than 20 years of experience in intellectual property law to businesses and entrepreneurs in and around the New York City metropolitan area. We know that terms like intellectual property, patent prosecution, infringement and licensing can seem foreign, even to sophisticated business owners. We take an easy-going approach, working hard to demystify the process, so that you can actively participate in protecting your ideas, inventions, and business good will. Though we’ve successfully handled complex intellectual property disputes, we know how to explain patent, trademark and copyright concepts in lay terms.

Before entering the practice of law, David Boag worked as a software developer. Our knowledge of and comfort with cutting-edge technology have allowed to provide big firm experience and results in a boutique practice, meeting all your IP needs while keeping costs under control.

We provide experienced and comprehensive counsel in all matters related to patents, trademarks and copyrights:

    • Prosecution of intellectual property applications—We will evaluate your potential patent, trademark or copyright to verify that protection is available. If so, we’ll prepare and file all documents related to your patent application, trademark registration or copyright registration. We will also be your advocate with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or the Copyright Office.
    • Allegations of infringement of intellectual property rights—We represent clients as plaintiffs or defendants in lawsuits alleging infringement of patents, trademarks or copyrights.
    • Licensing of intellectual property rights—We will negotiate, review and/or draft agreements for the licensing of patents, trademarks or copyrights.

At BLPLLC, we handle patent applications, trademark and copyright registrations, and other types of IP transactional work on a fixed fee basis. We can also arrange for hourly billing and may charge a contingency fee for some types of intellectual property infringement litigation.
